Manly Beach

Took the Sydney Ferry to Manly Beach yesterday (30min away from Circular Quay). At one point during the ride, the boat rocked big time! I guess it was the spot where the ocean swells met the little waterway we were going through.

The plan once we got there was to go to the beach. We did anything but :). First stop, some fish and chip joint. Had a salad with grilled calamari. That's right, never thought they'd grill it. It was actually pretty good.

Next stop (or two) was all the shops along the walk way to the beach (Billabong, Roxy). Let's just say I didn't really make it to the beach ;). Swimsuits are so much cheaper here, and having too many options left me in the stores for a couple hours!

I did make to the beach though (only for 20mins). It's a super nice beach, had good surf. Since the wind was really strong yesterday towards the beach there were bad jelly warnings & strong rip current warnings. I'll be heading back there for sure (weather pending) once we're back from the Blue Mountains (leave tomorrow morning).

Last night was the Men's Singles final for the Australian Open. Went to a bar to watch Roger Federer and Gonzalez fight it out. Great game, was super close match. Roger beat him out... well I guess that's another year at the Australia Open.

Well I'm off to beach it at Bondi!
