Just arrived in Apollo Bay (down the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne). Absolutely beautiful (hot too). Took the bus from Torquay this morning. The road here was really curvy and hugged the steep mountain edge (it was like the road was wedged into the side the coastline).
The driver stopped part way so we could look at koalas in trees! For the next couple of nights we're staying here at the Eco Beach YHA. It is by far the nicest hostel I've stayed in yet.
Yesterday we took the train from melbourne to Geelong and then the bus to Torquay. At Torquay we hung out and walked around in the surf town. It was really cool, had this surf city where are the shops are Quicksilver, Billabong, Rusty, Cult, ect. And no I didn't buy anything :).
I also saw some wild cockatoos on powerlines when we were walking around.
