Plane ride:
Actually, it didn't seem like it was 15 hrs to me. I ended up watching one movie of the possible 4(Ricky Bobby) and slept/talked the rest of the flight (sleeping always makes time fly). So overall it was a great flight, I got to meet alot of people and slept enough so that i wasn't too jet lagged for new year's!
NYE:
Yesterday was a long but sweet day... stepped off a 15hr flight in oz am, had a short nap, got NYE-ready with wendy and bry(ie. Wendy played my personal make-up artist, we pre-drank), and then we partied the night away at coogee beach! It was an all you could eat/drink NYE party at the The Palace Hotel on coogee beach (with Sneaky sound system & Dirty Laundry - popular aussie music groups). The place was huge, it had 3 floors and even an escalator (never seen that in a club before!). All I can say is that Wendy and Bry are trained drinkers, they were finished 1 smirinoff and i was only a quarter of the way through my first. What can I say, I'm just a light weight drinker (2 smirinoff's and i'm usually a very happy camper :)). Over the course of the night, I ended up straying from my regular "smirinoff only" drinks and ended up also having a vodka shot and vodka soda lime thing. Yeah, that's a lot of vodka... :) Good times!
The first day of the New Year:
I was out and about in the city today. Hung out mostly in "The Rocks." There's a lot of different/neat shops down there (lots of older buildings as well) Highlights of the day: Saw the opera house and walked over the sydney harbor bridge (the one that they shot the fireworks over last night)...what a sweet view!
* I have yet to find a computer where I can plug in my digital card, so I guess there will be a massive pic post coming up :)
